We visited the New Woodshed this past Friday. The GM "retired" and Marc, bar manager, has taken on that role. The food was excellent- the only one disappointed was my dog as I made my prime rib disappear!

First - don't worry about the one star reviews. You should consider that this is a fine dining experience and the manager Greg does a fine job of preserving that experience. Which means sometimes he needs to "correct" inappropriate behavior from diners not accustomed to this level of dining. I'm thankful that he and Tori do the hard work of keeping The Woodshed environment first class. Otherwise - food as good as anything in Boston, service top notch, ambiance everything they say it is, try to get a table near the fireplace.

This restaurant is completely different from the original although love that they kept some of the same details (bread in a flower pot, 'skip and go naked' cocktail). This was our first time trying out the new restaurant. Beautiful inside and out. Food was delicious and the servers (and manager, who came over to check on us) were very friendly and attentive. Menu is very pricey, but more so meant for a special occasion. Getting a reservation can be a process (call way in advance and have flexibility). We will be back - next time, maybe in the bar so we don't have to be so limited in timing.

I've been coming to the woodshed for years and I've never had a bad meal! So happy they kept the old menu and my favorite almost escargot!

We love the New Woodshed. We just left dinner there and it did not disappoint! Every-time we plan a visit up here we always make sure to include the New Woodshed. The food is top notch ! The steaks are high quality . I've been to some of the finest restaurants in Boston and nothing compares. We love the ambiance , it's super clean and a pleasant place to come for a fine dining experience in the lakes region . Greg ,Tory and their staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome . They are very attentive to everything . I am not sure why some people have negative things to say about Greg and his team . As most people know some people are unreasonable and impossible to make happy . Greg has always been kind and pleasant . Greg and Tory are always walking around checking on all the tables . We can't wait for our next trip back .

My wife and I hadn't been to The Woodshed in awhile, so we popped in last night. Happy to say everything was terrific from start to finish. Greeted at the door warmly and welcoming, we proceeded to eat in the more casual section, the Shed. Sat at the bar and immediately the consummate professional, Mark the bartender, made us feel right at home. A Cosmo and beer later we were ready to order. The oysters were tasty and served perfectly. We then had the barbecued chicken thighs and a chicken quesadilla. All very tasty. And of course, the delicious popover bread. What's not to like! We'll be headed back again real soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.
